Lukas Crenshaw

Executive Assistant & Communications Associate

Lukas Crenshaw joined Custom Contracting in early 2023 following a three-and-a-half-year stint in a management track at a major home improvement retailer. “My formal education in communications and intercultural studies would have prepared me for another career path, but the pandemic changed my plans like it did for so many,” he says.

“I value the team building and leadership skills I gained at the home improvement company, but my family has always been in the construction industry, and I felt drawn to it. When Custom Contracting became a certified Women Owned Business Enterprise, I knew I wanted to work for the company and do what I could to support the mission and help the company grow. I also saw it as an opportunity to learn and advance personally and professionally.”

He continues, “One of the qualities I appreciate most about Custom Contracting is everyone feels like they’re members of one big family. There’s this mentality that we’re all working together toward common end goals. I know it’s one of the key elements of our success.”

In his current role with the company, Lukas wears two hats, working in both the financial end of the business and as part of its communications team. “Regardless of what I’m working on at any one time, I approach each day as an opportunity to help the company grow. I'm eager to build new skills so I can continue to contribute wherever I’m needed.

“We have a really solid team here,” he says “As different as we all may be in our abilities and talents, we all care about what we're doing. We show up and work together to do the best for our clients.”
